Newcastle West Family and Community Hub will host a series of workshops around the subject of ADHD over the coming weeks. Open to parents, carers and teachers of children in primary school with ADHD/ADD, the workshops will offer an important opportunity to find out more about the signs and symptoms of ADD/ADHD, how to address issues and to meet others and share knowledge and experience.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a behavioural disorder characterised by symptoms of inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity. The ADHD Mid-West Parent Support Committee will lead the first two workshops on January 26th & February 9th and will be available to answer questions. A third workshop will be held on February 23rd lead by Educational Psychologist, Michael de Villiers who will examine the topic of ADHD/ADD in further detail. All workshops will take place from 7:30-9pm in the Family and Community Hub which is located upstairs in the Newcastle West Community Centre (by the GAA pitch and entrance to Demesne)
To register for any of these workshops or for further information please contact Theresa at West Limerick Resources on 069 79113
