Men's Health

For 2011 Men' Health Week (June 13-19), 25 large posters were posted in four main towns in West Limerick. Additionally, 25 men were targeted in Askeaton and given a men's health pack which also contained four passes for the pool/gym in Askeaton. The costs of this project were shared with the County Limerick Local Sports Partnership. The staff were pleased with this initiative that was tailored for the target group whom the Community Health Workers know well. The project used existing resources and was simple to roll-out. Additionally, as a first project targeted at men, it was a positive learning opportunity that the team is looking forward to building on in the future.
