Farmers

Farming in Ireland has undergone a great deal of change in recent years.  In response to the impact these changes have had on many farmers West Limerick Resources provides a range of supports under a number of its programmes.

Rural Social Scheme - the RSS offers part time flexible employment opportunities for low income farmers or their spouses on projects which are of benefit to the local community.  Participants work 19.5 hours per week & these hours are based on a "farmer friendly schedule" in work site locations which are situated in areas which are convenient to them.  For more information Click here

Rural Development Programme - One of the areas supported under the RDP is on farm enterprise and Farm diversification.  Eligible clients can benefit from support for training, capital support for construction costs, purchase of fixed equipment and machinery as well as advice and guidance from our enterprise development staff.  For more information Click here

Local and Community Development Programme - Under the L&CDP West Limerick Resources provides enterprise development mentoring for individuals who fall within the programmes target group including low income farmers, rural women and others who fall within the programmes target groups.  For more information visit GOAL 3 of the Local and Communtiy Development Programme
